When your heart speaks, take good notes.
Read Three Cups of Tea

You.

And you too, although you are comfortable with the knowledge you have.

And you.

All of you.

y'all.

Today
I ran almost 12 miles today then I took a 3 hour nap. I can go from spritely to sluggish in 10 minutes flat. Needless to say, I was popular with the cats during the sluggish phase of my day.

Then I took a meme. Bad punctuation, but what can you expect from memes.

Intelligent and insightful, you are a gifted individual, who although may sometimes be buried in academic affairs, is friendly and welcoming.

But I was only 2 percentage points from getting this one, which I really wanted.

As Minerva McGonagall, your strict facade is complimented by a warm heart, and you always do what is for the greater good.

I finished my fourth Douglas Coupland book. So to change genre I'm off to read Why I Am Not a Christian: And Other Essays on Religion and Related Subjects by Bertrand Russell and slug some more. I wonder if [info]solar_diablo has read this.

Barnes & Noble Bespeak and Babble
After going there at least a couple of dozen times since then, I have come to the conclusion that this guy was pulling my leg.

Would you think less of me if I admit I've been there hoping to hear it again? I'm so needy and pathetic sometimes, even if it was a compliment that was insincere.

I made this cool political icon

SO there was a reason I kept dreaming I was an Inuit floating away alone on an iceburg
I love these kinds of facts that do nothing to further my career or friendships:
In all of North America, from Mexico to Canada's Prince Edward Island, the only one state, province or territory that does not yet have a McDonald's is Nunavut, in northern Canada, inhabited by the Inuits at a density of one person per 3,300 square miles.

Recommended reading/viewing:
  1. Fast Food Nation: The Dark Side of the All-American Meal

  2. Super Size Me

A book I need to pull off the shelf, blow off the dust and read again I think:
Diet for a New America though his new book I'm told is a better and updated version of the same book.

Why I only piss off and alienate only a few people each year
I'm currently reading "Memories of My Melancholy Whores" by Gabriel García Márquez which is about as thick as my pinky, but it took me so long to format this table I don't know if I'll finish it today! Maybe tomorrow.

(EDIT: Finished "Whores"!)

Books read so far in 2005 ... but there is still ONE MORE DAY! )
